Description and Objective The objective of Blackjack is for a player to come as close to 21 without going over. In Blackjack, aces count as either 1 or 11, face cards as 10, and number cards as their face value. If you receive an ace and a ten-value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack and win one and a half times your bet (if you bet was $10, you receive $25). If the total value of your cards is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, you win as much as you had wagered (if your bet was $10, you receive $20). If the total of your cards is more than 21, you “bust” and lose your bet. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a “push”. Blackjack beats a score of 21. |

| Terminology used in the play of the game:
Bet - the Player may make any wager desired within the posted table limits.
Deal - the Player gets two cards face up and the Dealer gets two cards.
Blackjack – is achieved when first two cards total 21. Blackjack beats a score of 21 consisting of 3 or more cards.
Bust – is achieved when total value of cards for either the Dealer or the Player exceeds 21 resulting in a loss of the wager.
Push – is achieved when the value of the Dealer’s cards (from 17 to 21) and the Player’s cards are equal resulting in neither winning except in Face Up 21(please see specific Face Up 21 rules). It also results in the return of the Player’s wager.
Hit – Player desires another card to be dealt.
Stand – Player desires to keep hand dealt
Split – Player desires hand to be split two cards into separate hands.
Double – Player desires to double bet and receive another card.
Card Values * Suits of the cards have no meaning in the game. * Cards 2 through 10 are the face value. * Jacks, Queens and Kings are all valued at 10. * Aces can count as either 1 or 11 (except in the game of “Caribbean 21”where the Ace has a value of 1 only). If the player has a hand that consists of a 6 and an Ace, he may either consider it at 17 or drop its value to 7. The Ace may count as 1 or 11. You may change the value of the Ace as the hand progresses.
Insurance: Insurance is considered to be a game of its own within Blackjack. If the dealer has an Ace as his up card, you’ll be given a chance to buy insurance. When you buy insurance, you’re betting that the dealer has a blackjack. It allows you to try and protect yourself when you think that the dealer may have Blackjack. When buying insurance, you place half of your initial bet by pressing the Insurance button. If the dealer does have Blackjack, you are paid 2 to 1 on your insurance bet. If the dealer doesn’t have Blackjack, you lose your insurance bet.
